Propaganda has a surgically specific message. The sum of interpretation sits on a razor’s edge. Military tactics have an adaptive symmetry with the objective of violence and domination. A flag displays an identity. Symbols and color speak of a people. I erode the interpretation, pacify the symmetry, and redefine the identity to show how an individual triumphs over the sum of its parts.
